use the "USB CDC Virtual COM Port (VCP)" standard for communication via the serial USB COM port. No driver is therefore required for Windows 10 and 11.
If the virtual TANGO COM port should appear as "TANGO" in the Windows Device Manager,
the "INF driver" can only be used to assign the name "TANGO", even under Windows 10 and 11.
No PCI driver is required for the TANGO PCI-E neo either, it is already included in Windows 10 and 11.
» The fact that the above mentioned TANGOs do not require a driver allows
- easy intgration in secure operating Systems with "core Isolation"
- use with Linux based operating systems that support USB CDC Virtual COM Port (VCP)
» If you are using an operating system older than Windows 10/11 or have any questions about our driver package, please feel free to contact our Customer Service Center. 8 MB -
USB Add-On Driver TANGO Desktop E/S for Windows 10 (64 Bit) The USB add-on driver can be used to solve problems when the TANGO USB port is detected on PCs with the operating system Windows 10. If the virtual COM port is not displayed in Windows when switching on the TANGO controller, the USB add-on driver can help.
NOTE: The USB is only required in the case described above (Windows 10, USB connection). The described problem does not occur under Windows 7. TANGO controllers with the faster USB-X port (e.g. SlideExpress, TANGO 3 mini) are not affected by this problem and do not require the USB add-on driver. 809 KB
